The Verve Click-to-Call feature uses an Add-On in the Google Chrome web browser. This Add-On will allow you to click on any reasonably-formatted phone number in any web page to place a call from your Verve phone.

Installation

1. Follow the NextLevel Click-to-Call Google Chrome Web Store link and click on the “Add to Chrome” button.

Click to download NextLevel Click-to-Call Chrome Extension from the Google Chrome Web Store, or copy-and-paste the following address into your Chrome browser: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/nextlevel-click-to-call/moejllimakmkoncbajkkmikkpiejhiin?hl=en-US&gl=US

2. You will received a pop-up asking you to “NextLevel Click-to-Call”, click “Add extension”

3. You will receive a pop-up in the upper right corner of your chrome browser indicating the installation has completed, and instructing you to click on the icon to continue setup

4. Configure the click-to-call extension by clicking on the Verve logo in the extensions tray on your Chrome browser and entering your credentials.

Note: If you do not see the Verve icon in the extensions tray, navigate to Chrome’s Settings -> More Tools -> Extension, find “NextLevel Click-to-Call” in the list, and check the “Enabled” box

The only unique credentials you will need are your Login Name and Password, the same that you use to log into the Verve Portal, the rest of the settings are provided below.

Option Parameter Notes
Login Name 1001@domain Enter your personal portal login here
Pass ##### Enter your personal voicemail PIN/Portal Password here
Country Code United States 1 This is the standard US dialing plan (known as NANP)
DialString Length 11 (default) 11 Digital Dialing
International Prefix 011 Prefixes “011” onto international numbers
Use List Exclude Domains This will enable click to call on all websites

Once you have entered the credentials, click “Save”. You will know that the settings are successful when your extension and area code are populated at the bottom of the page.

Troubleshooting steps

The most common issue encountered is incorrect credentials. Please make sure your username and password are entered correctly.
If your credentials are not saving correctly after you enter them:

  • Double check username and password
  • The username is your extension@company like 1001@acme (there is no “.com”, it is not your email address)
  • Remember the Password is your Portal Password
  • If everything is correct, try disabling and then re-enabling the extension
  • If it is still not properly displaying credentials after saving, uninstall the plugin and reinstall it again
