Stop Google adding Google Meet invites

Google may automatically add Google Meet links to your calendar invites, causing confusion when you want to use NextMeeting. To disable this, follow the steps below.

For personal accounts without G Suite

1. Sign into your Google Account
2. Navigate to Calendar settings
3. Under “Event settings” uncheck the box “Automatically add Google Meet video conferences to events I create”
4. Settings will be saved automatically, future invites you create should not automatically have a Google Meet link added.
   

For Business accounts with G Suite

This will need to be done by the Google account Administrator

1. Sign into Google Admin console
2. Navigate to Apps > G Suite > Calendar
3. Click Calendar sharing options
4. Click Edit button under Video Calls category (the pencil icon)
5. Uncheck the box “Automatically add video calls to events created by a user”
